Sunday Jan 21, 1990 Get Rid of All the Damned Lyrics
After re-reading most of THoP the first, and most important decision I have come to (as it affects this little day book or whatever it is) is to get rid of all the fucking lyrics.
Amory's story (especially the Princeton years) is littered with failed poems.
....and they're definitely "failed works" if I think they're bad
The second decision: I've got to live a more interesting life
Third decision: Do a better job writing about whatever kind of life I am living
Fourth and final thing: Hope no one has to die to make this a good story.
