Saturday May 26, 1990 To Their Mothers

SOX improve their record to 24-15 today after sending the Tigers home crying to their mothers.  Everybody’s got a mother, even those miserable bastards!  I probably shouldn’t say that.

Kutzler got knocked around early but after they pulled him the SOX played well behind the other pitchers and put up ten runs.  They didn’t even need Thigpen to close it out.  Not bad work for a Saturday.

Megs called and I did not give her any shit.  I was glad to hear her voice.  She sounded exhausted.  We talked about Gina and Bob and how we were happy for them and how we would go to the wedding together whether we were still together or not.  As fucked up as she is, I think Megs knows what is important.  And that’s what counts, isn’t it?
